Berkshire Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust Chilterns Group

We work closely with the staff of BBOWT (Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust), based at College Lake near Tring, to involve local volunteers in conservation, wildlife events and helping at the Visitor Centre. You do not need to be a member of the Trust to join us - if you'd like to spend some time with people who care about wildlife just get in touch. It's a great way to meet people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities, to pick up new ideas and skills, to see fresh places and to have fun in the process. We have a year-round programme of events, work parties and social occasions for you to enjoy broadly in the Aylesbury to Amersham area - for details see http://www.bbowt.org.uk/whats-on or click here for local contact information.

Mid Bucks Beekeeping Association

Mid Bucks Beekeeping Association

The Mid Bucks Beekeepers Association was founded in 1946 to serve the needs of Beekeepers in the central area of Buckinghamshire bounded by Great Missenden to the south, Winslow to the north, the counties of Herts and Oxon to the east and west. With more than 200 members the Association has a thriving and active membership who strive to support their fellow beekeepers as well as providing related educational services to the wider community. We hold meetings on the third Wednesday of the month, during the winter invited speakers present on different aspects of beekeeping as well as other general topics. During the summer the meetings are of a more practical nature and are held at our Training Apiary in the outskirts of Aylesbury.
