Berkshire Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust Chilterns Group

We work closely with the staff of BBOWT (Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust), based at College Lake near Tring, to involve local volunteers in conservation, wildlife events and helping at the Visitor Centre. You do not need to be a member of the Trust to join us - if you'd like to spend some time with people who care about wildlife just get in touch. It's a great way to meet people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities, to pick up new ideas and skills, to see fresh places and to have fun in the process. We have a year-round programme of events, work parties and social occasions for you to enjoy broadly in the Aylesbury to Amersham area - for details see http://www.bbowt.org.uk/whats-on or click here for local contact information.

Wendover Parish Council

Wendover Parish Council

Wendover Parish Council is the fundamental tier of local government in the parish. The parish is situated in the administrative area of Aylesbury Vale District within the County of Buckinghamshire. Members of the public are very welcome to attend any of its meetings and are given the opportunity to make comments and observations during the period set aside for public participation. The Council decides on its projects for the coming financial year, works out the cost (precept) and informs Aylesbury Vale District Council of the amount it will need to raise through the Council Tax. Wendover Parish Council employs staff to look after the recreation grounds in Hampden Meadow and Ashbrook as well as the Witchell. It is unusual in that it also provides and funds the Tourist and Community Information Office in The Clock Tower.
