Weekly beginners Tai Chi course with Elaine MacWhirter at Wilstone Village Hall
Tai Chi has been shown to improve balance, flexibility, strength, psychological health and well being reduce stress and blood pressure through using gentle, smooth and co-ordinated movements. Health departments in Australia and New Zealand have now implemented Tai Chi as a form of exercise to reduce falls.
Elaine has qualified through the Tai Chi for Health Institute which has modified Tai Chi to make it more usable for older individuals with arthritic conditions.
