Mindfulness is for anyone wishing to develop a lifestyle, a way of being that embraces whatever your state of mind is in any moment, bringing awareness and acceptance of what is. Mindfulness for me has been invaluable in acknowledging the here and now. We have a tendency as human “beings” to be more about “doing” and worrying about the future or the past but it is in “being present” that we have an increased sense of purpose and fewer feelings of isolation as we recognise common humanity, that we are not along in feeling this way.

Mindfulness can affect our mood, feelings of control in our lives and have an impact on our physical health. When our resilience is low if we had a shock, a life event or illness, constant pressures at work, coping with the kids or other ongoing stresses we may feel we have lost control and meaning. Our Resilience, our ability to withstand all that life’s brings us, can be enhanced through the practise of Mindfulness

Mindfulness is a skill which must be deliberately cultivated and requires commitment and willingness. The course will therefore include exploration of the different facets of mindfulness including mindful movement, Meditation, loving Kindness and mindful eating to support you in finding a way to bring it more into your daily life. It is provided for anyone who would like to manage stress/ pain and change poor habits for healthier ones.
