March into Spring at the Leighton Buzzard Railway!

4 March – Here we go again!
The first steam train of the season at 1030 will be flagged off by the Mayor of Leighton0-Linslade accompanied by the Town Crier.  At 1100, No1 Simplex Diesel, which hauled the first ever passenger train in 1967, will pose in platform 2 with 2 open wagons similar to those used for the first passenger train.  Those holding tickets for the 1130 will have an opportunity to ride in the replica original train in open wagons at 1110 for a short trip in Page's Park yard, prior to their departure.  The 1130, 1330, and 1530 will use similar coaches to the earliest passenger trains hauled by No 1 diesel, assisted by up to 3 other vintage diesels. The 1230 and 1430 will be steam hauled.

11 March - Mothering Sunday
Bring mum along for a cream tea in our 1940's themed Buzzrail Cafe and book your combined tickets for the train and cream tea online.  Plus get a free photo of you all together!

18 March - Volunteering Day
Ever wanted to join in the fun? Well come along today at our special discount fares and ask all the questions you ever wanted to.  We are looking for people who want some fresh air and exercise to help build our extension, people who want to make things to build our new carriage, people who want to drive locomotives to drive our demonstration diesels or help with our miniature railway or maybe be on the footplate of a steam locomotive.  We are also a small business so are looking for marketing, project management and general adminstration help.

Tickets for all of these events and the rest of the season are available to buy fee-free online at www.buzzrail.co.uk.
