Come dreamers all and see your heart’s desire come true with The Story Museum’s Christmas production for children and families ‘WISH’. Surprises and fun galore will be in store this Christmas season as we take you on a magical, musical journey with much-loved classic stories told afresh by actor/musician Tristan Pate.
Tristan, who as well as being a prolific and talented performer, is Artistic Director of the Cherwell Theatre Company, and has worked extensively throughout Oxfordshire to encourage and work with young performers at the early stages of their careers. Writer and director Renata Allen makes a return after the success of 2016’s Three Bears and 2017’s Jingle’s Magic Sleigh, to conjure up some Christmas story magic, with songwriter and musician David Gibb providing toe tapping melodies to leave audience members young and old humming as they leave.
We are currently hard at work bringing about a major transformation of our most unusual museum, allowing generations of future visitors to experience, share and enjoy some of the world’s greatest stories in many great ways. Therefore, this year’s production sees us setting up home in a temporary venue for Christmas. Our team of theatre-elves have created WISH-land in Oxford’s Castle Quarter ensuring our Christmas production is as magical as ever!
Different venue – same Story Museum ingredients: great storytelling, music, song, joining in and fun for all whether you are 3 or 103.
