Last chance to see Glorious Glass Exhibition
An exhibition celebrating 20 years of the Contemporary Glass Society
Ends 23 March

Glorious Glass demonstrates how stunning and amazing contemporary glass is so that everyone can appreciate and enjoy its magical colours, textures, use of light and variety of techniques.  The work display by 40 artist features as wide a range of techniques as possible. Come and enjoy the skill and creativity of the artists working in this beautiful medium. Work is for sale. Entry by donation.

Contemporary Glass Makers Fair
Saturday 23 March, 10.30am – 3pm
A marvellous opportunity to buy unique handmade glass direct from the makers from their stalls around the museum. It is also the final opportunity to see the stunning Glorious Glass exhibition. Entry by donation. 

Wedding Fair

Saturday 30 March, 11am – 3pm

Your chance to come and see our beautiful building set up for a ceremony, chat to our suppliers and discuss your day with our wedding planner. Pre-register your attendance at the fair to receive a fabulous free goody bag on the day, full of special offers, discounts and treats. Samurai: Warriors of Ancient Japan

Discover stunning examples of historical Samurai armour and weapons, from complete suits to beautiful swords and ornate helmets. Entry by donation.


Shakespeare in the Museum Garden
Saturday 6 April, 2pm – 5pm
Unbound Theatre Company from Queens Park Arts Centre perform Anthony & Cleopatra in the delightful setting of the Museum garden. Bring your own chair. Entry by donation.

Rock and Fossil Day
Saturday 13 April, 11am – 4pm
A day of rock and fossil fun for all ages with hands-on activities and geology experts. Entry by donation.

Easter in the Stuart Household
Easter Day 21 April: 11am – 4pm
Easter Monday 22 April: 10am – 5pm
Come and help the Stuart Household celebrate Easter and get ready for their Feast. A historical re-enactment event for all the family. Family activities. Entry by donation.


There’s also a new exhibition Hands-on Victorians where families can discover what life was like during Queen Victoria’s reign. There’s lots to touch, see and do including dressing up, climbing in a tin bath and sitting at a school desk. Hands-on Victorians runs until 27 April.
