Award winning Berkhamsted Theatre Company, announces its next musical producton – CRUSH: The Musical. From the writers of ‘Bad Girls The Musical’; Maureen Chadwick and Kath Gots.

Taking place at the popular Tring venue, the David Evans Court Theatre, CRUSH is the heart-warming tale of love and friendship, triumphing in the face of adversity.

The Dame Dorothea Dosserdale School for girls has a proud traditon of fostering free spirits, but the death of the school’s founder has left it in the hands of a tyrannical headmistresss. Top of her aims is to find the culprits of ‘indecent and unnatural behaviour’ in the art rooms.

Set in 1963, this excitng and fast paced musical has a strong musical score and a smart yet light-hearted comedic script, which brings to life a host of colourful characters including a kind caring deputy head, a school sneak, an undercover games mistress and unconvincing odd-job man, over bearing parents, love struck teenagers and runaway students.

Founded in 1926, Berkhamsted Theatre Company brings high quality amateur productons to the area showcasing the talents of local performers. The company has won a series of awards including the coveted Joe Putnam award for Best Musical in the NODA London Region, for its 2016 producton of Evita.
