Wendover Arm of the Canal

The Wendover Arm of the Grand Union canal has not been navigable for many years and, at times, has been difficult to pass even for walkers and cyclists.  A considerable amount of work is being done by volunteers to make the canal comfortably useable and even navigable again.

Wendover Arm Trust have received First Round Approval from Heritage Lottery Fund for a joint bid with the Canal & River Trust and can now progress to stage 2 of the application process.

As part of their proposed application for Heritage Lottery Grant to speed up progress with the restoration of this canal, the Wendover Arm Trust co-hosted a Supporter's Meeting with the Canal & River Trust at Green Park Activity Centre, Aston Clinton on Tuesday evening, 3 November.

Mending the towpath
