The biggest-ever change to disability benefits is well underway. Many disabled people are losing some or all of their benefits and others are suffering from long delays and poor assessments. To help disabled people understand the changes and what they might mean, BuDS is holding a series of FREE disability benefit information events in libraries across Bucks, including one in Wendover library on 5 November.

These 2-3 hour FREE events are especially designed for disabled people, carers and professionals in Buckinghamshire and will cover:

•The Welfare Reform Act 2012

•Employment & Support Allowance (ESA)

•The move from Disability Living Allowance (DLA) to Personal Independence Payment (PIP)

•The arrival of Universal Credit

•The Benefit Cap

•Bedroom Tax

•Council Tax changes

The presentation is of very high quality and has been prepared using information from DWP, Disability Rights UK and other expert authorities. 99% of previous attendees at earlier events rated these presentations as being excellent or very good. There will also be short presentations about online (internet) safety and disability hate crime.

To learn more or book a FREE place, people can go to the BuDS website www.buds.org.uk or call 01494 568864 (voicemail).
