New children’s boutique The Dandy Kid launches online

Buckinghamshire based children’s boutique The Dandy Kid is to launch online on Monday 30 June 2014. The company is celebrating the launch of by introducing two brands fresh from Finland and brand new to the UK. It has secured the UK EXCLUSIVE with clothing brand Metsola with its bright, bold designs and is also proud to be the first to stock Papu Stories featuring fun prints and a cool unisex style.

The retailer, founded by design creative Becks Clarke and brand & marketing specialist Sarah Beattie opened in Wendover in February and recently won Best Children’s Shop in the popular Muddy Stilettos Awards, celebrating fantastic places, spaces and businesses across Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

“Our aim is simple, to source goods with fun, bold, quality design that’s a little bit quirky and different,” said Clarke. “We’re thrilled to add Metsola and Papu Stories to our collection, their clothes are simply gorgeous.”

“It’s been great to see the response to the shop from the local community,” continued Beattie, “now we can’t wait to open it up to a wider audience online. We hope people like what they see as much we do and enjoy visiting our website.”

The Dandy Kid sells kids paraphernalia; clothing (age 0-8), toys, gifts and accessories selected from cool independent brands, designers and nice creative people around the globe. The website features collections from some of the best up and coming homegrown British independent designers, as well as products from Scandinavia, France and the US.

Visitors to the website will be able to shop by category, brand or search. Worldwide shipping is available as well as the ability to collect in store. Each week editorial will be used to introduce users to a feature brand; there will great competitions and a blog featuring industry news, chat and guest posts from interesting and insightful folk on a range on subject areas from design to parenting.
