On Sunday November 8th a small group gathered at the TRIBUTE to commemorate all units which served at the RAF Hospital Halton (now a housing estate), to lay a wreath in memory of all those in the medical branches who made the supreme sacrifice for their country.  Wg Cdr James Gelnar, Senior Medical Officer RAF Halton, led the short ceremony and laid the wreath. Also present were Gp Capt (ret'd) Henry Tuppen, Commanding Officer of the Hospital 1991-94 and Wg Cdr (Ret’d) Penny Singleton, former Princess Mary’s Royal Air Force Nursing Service.

The Tribute was unveiled by HRH Princess Alexandra in November 2011. Any members of the medical branches, serving or retired, who wish to attend a similar ceremony in future years please contact Gp Capt Min Larkin (Ret’d) at trenchard63@btinternet.com
