Halton Preschool - July-August 2017

Natasha How, Chair of Governors  |  Published: Jul 29th 2017

Following the children's interests, Halton Preschool Poppies recently visited Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital in Haddenham. The staff and children thoroughly enjoyed the day getting up close to the hedgehogs and many other rescued animals. The staff at Tiggywinkles were very accomodating and made the day educational as well as memorable for all involved. Following the trip it inspired the children to want to help our British wildlife, and they decided that building a hedgehog house and bird box was a good idea.  Woodwork sessions were planned and the children were involved with planning their design, and selecting the materials they would need. The next project planned is to build some bug hotels for the preschool garden.
