Have your say on transport matters now!

Buckinghamshire County Council is developing its new Local Transport Plan and would like to encourage residents to have their say on the transport matters that are important to them.

Residents can share their views by accessing an app via this link –

The app will be available between 24 Augustand 6 September 2015. Within the app users are provided with 100 points to allocate to issues that are most important to them.

To make the plan work, the County Council really needs to know what is important to residents. Their views will then be considered when developing the new Local Transport Plan, which will set out the Council’s approach to transport across Buckinghamshire.

Mark Shaw, Cabinet Member for Transport, said: “We live in a beautiful county which attracts many people and businesses to settle here. This means that there are more people moving around the county, placing more pressure on our road network and transport system. This, combined with falling central government funding, means that we have some very difficult decisions to make about how we spend next year’s budget.

“So we need your help so that we set the right priorities. I’d like to encourage everyone to take this opportunity – use the app and let us know what you’d like to see in the transport plan. By taking part, your views will influence the new plan which will be in place from April 2016.”
