Little Acorns Kindergarten in Wendover celebrated 25 years in September 2015 and would like to send a huge ‘Thank You’ to families and staff who have supported us over the years. To celebrate we held a Teddy Bears Picnic on Sunday 19th July.  Families past and present joined us for a balloon race, face painting, singing with Penny Lowe, Jelly Babies . . . and lots more!  The winning balloon travelled 98 miles!

We also held a ‘Black and Bling’ evening Saturday 12th September.  Over 100 people joined us for an evening of dancing with local band, ‘The Numbers’.  Some LAK ladies put together a dance routine, with the help of Amy Russell, to Cheerleader.  They bought the house down and did an encore performance at the request of the audience.

NK Builders of Wendover sponsored the event and Dayla provided the bar and a raffle prize. Other fantastic raffle prizes included, The Point, Tres Corazones and The Dandy Kid in Wendover, The Woolpack in Stoke Mandeville and Bills of Berkhamstead

Little Acorns Kindergarten continues to be a popular and thriving pre-school and runs from a purpose built building on the John Colet School Campus in Wendover.  For many children, starting pre-school is the first big step towards independence.  You therefore would want your child to be in the best possible setting to achieve this.  By choosing ‘Little Acorns’, you can be assured of a happy, stimulating and safe environment for your child.

Young children will have a wide range of experiences, skills and interests when they join us, and we aim to provide a curriculum that will extend their skills, develop their confidence and build on what they already know.

Our main aim is to provide a wide range of activities and experiences that will encourage your child to make progress in their development and learning at his/her own pace.  We aim to provide opportunities for all children to succeed in a caring atmosphere where everyone is equally valued.

Children learn in many different ways and at ‘Little Acorns’ we provide a range of opportunities to deepen their understanding.  These include playing, observing, investigating, talking, listening, reflecting and responding to adults and to each other.

‘Little Acorns’ is registered with Ofsted and we were last inspected in December 2010 when we were given a ‘Good’ overall judgement. If you would like more information check out our website or please contact us by:-
