Teams of Personnel from RAF Halton, who are used to polished shoes and parades, got stuck in to a mud bath at The Station Commander’s Cup Final event, The Santa Mud Fun Run. The snow had mostly cleared leaving a soggy field which no one seemed to mind and Physical Training Staff from Burnett Gym provided mulled wine, coffee and mince pies after the race.

Prizes were given for  1st Place, 2nd Place, 1st Place in Beckett Intake and best Fancy Dress.

1st was won by Chief Tech Mullen from CTS, second place was Cpl Binns, IFPT, and in third place came AC Pollen from Beckett Intake RTS.  IFPT won best fancy dress with the Santa Sleigh and then went on to take the CO’s Cup for 2017.

One of the participants, Flying Officer Georgie Snowdon-Brett, said: “It was wonderful with so many people taking part and dressing up, making for a lot of fun and a lovely atmosphere despite the cold.”
