Queen’s birthday church service benefits charity

Cheques totalling £400 have been sent to two organisations as a result of gifts made at Buckinghamshire’s celebratory church service to mark the Queen’s 90th birthday.

County Council Chairman Bill Chapple OBE, who introduced the service, said the generosity of the public and dignitaries, who attended the service at St Mary’s, Aylesbury, on Saturday, April 23, had enabled him to give £200 to the church, and £200 to the British Liver Trust.

‘It was such a great opportunity to honour The Queen’s dedication and commitment to the people of our country,’ said the Chairman.
