The Annual Health and Wellbeing day, which was opened by the Station Commander, Group Captain James Brayshaw, took place recently in the Burnett Gym at RAF Halton with a variety of displays and advice.

The Regional Medical Centre staff were on hand to talk about making changes to your life and your physical health, with spiritual and mental wellbeing guidance delivered in a short talk by the Station Padre.

Visitors were treated to help from external health and beauty clubs, a local university offering a variety of courses, RAF Recruitment, Halton Tennis & Mountain Bike Clubs and a spinning session.  Group Captain Brayshaw took part in a Broga Session, which is a trademark signature yoga practice designed to challenge the body in new ways, he said: “This is another very worthwhile initiative, not just for serving personnel but for the whole force and something to suit all ages, tastes and skills. It is good to see so many of my staff attending and taking their spiritual, physical and mental health so seriously.”
