RAF Halton supports London Poppy Day launch

Personnel from RAF Halton have assisted the Royal British Legion in launching this year’s Poppy Appeal in London by collecting donations at a number of areas, and Station photographer, Kate Rutherford, went too.

Cpl ‘Barnie’ Barnett who supervised the Servicemen Awaiting Trade Training (SATTs) said: “It was a really long day but extremely rewarding and the SATTs seemed to enjoy their first time in the public eye.

The aim was to get £50.000 from Victoria Station so I think we raised a record amount as I saw 33 full bags of money being taken away.”
