The HAC provides the full range of flying training for all Service personnel, with membership also available for Veterans, ACO, Service Dependents and MOD Civil Servants. Their Mission ‘To afford Servicemen and Women, irrespective of rank or trade, the ability to learn to fly at the minimum practical cost’ is reflected in their rates which are up to 40% cheaper than comparative civilian clubs. As well as air and ground training, the HAC has a full annual programme of expeditions, competitions, fly-outs and social events. Another Cool Aeronautics Event at RAF Halton

As part of the RAF 100 celebration during this current 2017/18 academic year, RAF Halton has set an ambitious target of having 1000 years five and six primary school children attend their Cool Aeronautics STEM events. This involves increasing the number of children from the traditional 60 per event to 90!
