The Shepherd’s Hut Outdoor Day Nursery is delighted to have been selected by The Woodland Trust to receive some native species trees to plant on its site in Wendover as part of The Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy. The children enjoyed preparing the area by digging it over and weeding in preparation. They were also excited to plant these saplings in the nursery beds.

Callie Rockell, Administration Manager, said:

"Our children love getting involved with anything possible. We follow the Forest School ethos and spend 80% of our time outside. We opened our outdoor nursery in August so planting these saplings will mark a new beginning for us as well as the trees."
