Wendover Swimming Pool is open!

If you have been walking your children to school on the Wharf Road campus, you will have noticed that the swarm of builders and their vans have removed themselves from the scene to reveal a shiny new façade for Wendover Swimming Pool.

The refurbishment is now complete and the pool is open for public swimming and swim schools, so you can come and try out for yourselves the wonderful new facilities. You don’t need to be a member to swim. With two changing rooms, including cubicles and lockers, a choice of shower areas, a new disabled changing room and a bigger hall area all built within the existing walls, it is Wendover’s very own Tardis.

We are very grateful for everyone involved in the refurbishment and for those kind donors who helped us make it happen. We would also like to welcome back our lovely volunteers after their well-earned summer off. Sorry – but we need you again now!

The Trustees recognize that whilst the pool has been closed, members have not had the benefit of their paid membership. Please check our website if you want to renew, with discounts available due to the pool closure, or for updates on new opening times and other information.

You can also look us up on Facebook or email the Trustees if you have any questions.
